Texas Compassionate Use Program (CURT)

Evaluations/Management

We provide thorough evaluations and ongoing management for eligible patients who may benefit from medical marijuana under the Texas Compassionate Use Program.

Texas Compassionate Use Program (CURT) Qualifying Conditions

Patients may be eligible for low-THC medical cannabis under the Texas Compassionate Use Program if they are permanent Texas residents and have one of the following conditions, with physician approval:

  • Epilepsy
  • Seizure disorders
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Spasticity (muscle spasm disorders)
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Cancer (including terminal cancer)
  • Incurable neurodegenerative diseases
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Chronic pain (lasting longer than 90 days)
  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Crohn’s disease / inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Terminal illness or hospice / palliative care

Physicians must determine that the potential benefit of low-THC cannabis outweighs the risk and must register each prescription in the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT). Smoking cannabis is not permitted under Texas law; only approved non-smokable forms such as tinctures, oils, and capsules are allowed.

Consultation Fees

Initial Evaluation: $200 | Follow-up: $100

All services are rendered in compliance with the Texas Department of Public Safety Compassionate Use Program (CURT) and the Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 487. Low-THC cannabis may only be prescribed by a physician registered with the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas for patients who meet qualifying medical criteria and reside in the State of Texas. Prescriptions and product dispensing are limited to formulations and delivery methods authorized under Texas law. Participation in this program is subject to state oversight and regulatory requirements.
